This song was written by Paul McCartney to describe the love he shared with his wife, Linda. I may be wrong, but I think he wrote it after he learned that his wife had terminal cancer.

Regardless, I want to dedicate this to my cousin Dean and his wife Esther in memorial to his wife who recently passed away from cancer.
