Actress, producer, and musician Lady Gaga talks about her and Stevie Wonder's collaboration on The Rolling Stones' most recent success, "Sweet Sounds of Heaven," in this video.

The song, which was made public 18 years after "Hackney Diamonds," is the second single to be taken from the British band's debut album following "Angry."

Gaga released a video on Instagram while they were recording at Henson Studios in Los Angeles, California, claiming that the collaboration was not premeditated.

The legendary artist Mick Jagger unexpectedly approached Lady Gaga as she was preparing to record the score for the film "Joker," in which she also acted.

Keith Richards and Ronnie Wood were the band's frontmen, and Stevie and Mick were both recording in the same studio.

"That evening as I was leaving for home, someone said, "Mick wants to see you. Since I only knew one Mick, I went inside the studio at the other end of the hallway and opened it. The 1970s are just beyond this door. I came upon Ronnie, Keith, and Mick," said Gaga.

Stevie Wonder was there, along with all the other musicians they collaborated with.

They were initially just "hanging out" and conversing while listening to music, according to the 13-time Grammy winner.

Mick then asked Gaga if she wanted to stay in the room while The Rolling Stones were working on a new song.

Gaga continued, "I made a conscious effort to study the notes right now and pay close attention to the music." She continued singing along with the classics and gave a "freestyle" after that.

I try not to overdo it because I don't want the enchantment they've worked so hard to create to be destroyed by my singing. My entire body was shaking as Stevie played; the Rhodes was violently vibrating into my back with each note.

After playing for several hours, Gaga claimed that she was "a little crazy" and couldn't believe that everyone was happy to have her there.

Their most recent song, "Sweet Sounds of Heaven," was born from that point. After that evening, Gaga departed for her house without thinking about potential business partnerships.

The following day, Gaga learned that Mick wanted to utilise her voice on the song when she got a message from the record's producer Andrew Watt.

"I think about my favourite old Stones songs and all the great vocalists Mick sang with, creating what we know today as a unique "sound" for a band that defined a rock'n'roll masterpiece," said Gaga.

I sing in a way that I've never sang before with Mick, he continued.

The album "Hackney Diamonds" is scheduled for release on October 20, 2023. Bill Wyman, Paul McCartney, and Elton John are among of the other musicians who contributed to this album in addition to Lady Gaga and Stevie Wonder.
