"Think about me, every now and then, my old friend". These were supposedly the last words John Lennon ever said to Paul McCartney before John was murdered in 1980, in New York. These words would mystically revisit Paul a few months later in a song penned by Carl Perkins. This is the story of exactly what happened, including proof in the way of a Carl Perkins interview that I don't believe is on YouTube anywhere else...

The above, coupled with Carl Perkins' interview (linked below), in which he says Linda and Paul visited the Dakota 'three weeks or something like that' [before John was murdered], leads me to believe John and Paul's last meeting was early November, 1980.
