The Rolling Stones record new music with Paul McCartney and Ringo Starr.
Two of the Beatles are still alive, so maybe they'll "come together" for a new Rolling Stones album. It's been said that Paul McCartney and Ringo Starr will make cameo appearances on the new Stones album.
It has been claimed by Variety that McCartney has played bass during recent Los Angeles recording sessions, and that Starr will perform drums.
Neither McCartney nor Starr have confirmed whether or not they will work together on a song for the album, thus it is impossible to predict which songs will make the cut. According to Mick Jagger, "a lot of tracks are done" for the album that Andrew Watt, the 2021 Grammy Producer of the Year, has created.
Keith Richards, guitarist for the Rolling Stones, teased fans with a video posted to Instagram last month, saying, "Some new music is on the way."
Reportedly featuring contributions from founding drummer Charlie Watts, who passed away "peacefully" in August 2021. He had to leave the group for an unexpected medical operation and died soon afterward, just before they were to resume a trip that had been postponed because of the pandemic.
It was revealed after Watts' death that he had a small collection of tunes recorded by Jagger and Richards.
The Rolling Stones and The Beatles are lifelong friends and rivals with a history of friendly competition between the two bands. Despite having known each other for almost 60 years, they haven't often worked together on musical projects.
