The opening track from the "White Album" has withstood the test of time as one of the hardest-rocking tracks ever recorded by the fab four. It was even re-released as a single in 1976 to promote the Rock 'n' Roll Music compilation album. I recorded a hasty, amateur cover of this about three years ago, but wasn't able to give this song the justice it deserves until now.
Thankfully, I have more advanced mixing equipment than the Beatles did in 1968, and was able to record the song fairly easily, though it was rather time-consuming. It's difficult to say who played what on this song as there are many conflicting accounts, but the instrumentation is fairly clear, and I was able to duplicate it pretty faithfully. Please enjoy my channeling of deep-voice, long-face Paul, who had of course replaced the original high-voice, short-face Paul upon the latter's death in 1966.
Instruments Used:
Rhythm Guitar: 2006 Epiphone Casino through a Vox AC30VR
Lead Guitar: 2018 Gibson Les Paul Tribute through a Vox AC30VR
Bass Guitar: Rogue VB100 & Yamaha RBX107Y through a Fender BXR100
Piano: Yamaha PSR 225
Drums: 1965 Gretsch Round Badge White Marine Pearl
