Sir Paul McCartney has honoured theatre director Jamie Lloyd with a companionship at the Liverpool Institute for Performing Arts or LIPA.

Lloyd, who became an Olivier Award winner for his West End production of Sunset Boulevard, was presented with the award on Tuesday by Sir Paul, a co-founder and founding patron of the LIPA.
