There are few names in the world of music as legendary as Ringo Starr. The talent and charisma of Ringo, the drummer of the iconic Beatles, has been captivating audiences for decades. Starr has always been considered a link in the Beatles, who managed to unite such different musicians: melancholy Harrison, sweet-voiced McCartney and sarcastic Lennon. John Lennon best characterized Ringo's role in the band: "Each of us brought something different to the band.... Paul was the face, I was the brains, George with his mysticism was the spirit, and Ringo was the heart". Ringo's lack of songwriting talent was more than compensated for by his charm. All four were masters of humor, but it was Ringo who had the funniest roles in all the Beatle films - "A Hard Day's Night, Help!", "Magical Mystery Tour, Yellow Submarine". It was his sense of humor that made Ringo the most popular Beatle during the conquest of America. The country had not yet recovered from the shock of Kennedy's assassination in November 1963 and was in dire need of positive emotions. "The Beatles, with their cheerful music and Ringo's funny faces and jokes during TV shows and press conferences, more than supplied those emotions. Here are a couple of funny answers of Ringo, which amused Americans so much: Question: Beethoven appears in one of your songs. How do you feel about him? Ringo: Fine, I like him a lot. Especially his poetry. Question: How did you find America? Ringo: Easy. We went to Greenland and then we turned left.
