George Harrison's compositions and vocal performances during his tenure with The Beatles were never as well-liked as those of John Lennon and Paul McCartney.

Because Lennon/McCartney's often outperformed George Harrison's original compositions, Harrison was irritated and wrote the actual Only Northern Song song.

But The Beatles' tracks featuring George Harrison weren't always well-received.

George Harrison sang the song Something on January 28, 1969, during the recording session for the Get Back album, according to Abbey Road Tributte.

John Lennon was given the song "Something to practice with" by George Harrison, albeit just momentarily.

Paul McCartney also gave George Harrison credit after finding out that he was the song's author, "Something."

It was about Pattie, and I was drawn to it because it was well-structured and had a lovely melody. George must have felt that I was a little busy playing bass. "Again, from my side, I try to contribute the best I can, but maybe it's his turn to tell me that I'm too busy," stated McCartney.

"When we did 'Here Comes the Sun,' I realized he really had a great talent," remarked George Martin, producer of the Beatles.

However, what he brought was not what he thought it would be. It was a really straightforward and amazing task," he said in closing.

Subsequently, the song Something was added to the 1969 album Abbey Road.

Several singers and artists have also covered the song Something, including Sarah Vaughn, who did a jazz-inspired rendition of the song.
