According to Paul McCartney, he would like to sing a duet with Bob Dylan. In his year-end "You Gave Me the Answer – 23 Questions for 2023" post on his own website, the legendary member of The Beatles made the comment.
"Is there anyone else you would like to sing a duet with?" a fan identifying herself as Vonnie asks McCartney during the Q&A. "Bob Dylan keeps coming up in my mind, but I don't know if we'll ever get 'round to it," McCartney responds.
This news follows McCartney's three appearances on recordings by other legends that were released in 2023. These appearances included guest spots on three different recordings: Dolly Parton's rendition of “Let It Be” from her Rockstar set, Jimmy Buffett’s posthumously released album Equal Strain on All Parts, and the Rolling Stones’ “Bite My Head Off” from their new Hackney Diamonds album.
During the Got Back tour, McCartney said in another interview that it was his favorite song to perform live. He said that the best part of the tour was "probably 'Hey Jude,' just to see all those thousands of people singing in harmony with each other."
In addition, McCartney talked about "Now and Then," which is sometimes referred to as the "final Beatles song." He said that hearing John Lennon's voice for the first time on the recording was "very emotional" and that his favorite part of the music video for the song is of "John goofing around."
Other information disclosed includes the following: he loves Strictly, "David Attenborough's shows, and in-depth historical documentary stuff," and his guilty pleasure is the TV show Bargain Hunt. His favorite vegetarian dish to make at home is quesadillas.
