Track 12 from his debut solo album “McCartney” released in 1970 copyright Apple Records. John Lennon had recently left the Beatles and their future was in doubt, so it was recorded in secrecy, mostly at his home in St. John’s Wood in northwest London on a 4-track tape recorder and later transferred to 8-track at Morgan Studios in London. McCartney played all the instruments himself and produced. Three songs, including this one, were recorded at the familiar Abbey Road Studios. This track was never released as a single until 1977 when it was recorded on Wing’s live album “Wings Over America.” It reached No. 9 in Canada and No. 10 in the U.S. Written and produced by Paul McCartney. RIP Linda McCartney. Featuring:

Sir Paul McCartney – Lead vocals, piano, lead & rhythm guitars, organ, bass & drums
Linda McCartney – Background vocals

Baby, I'm amazed at the way you love me all the time
And maybe I'm afraid of the way I love you

Maybe I'm amazed at the way you pulled me out of time
You hung me on the line
Maybe I'm amazed at the way I really need you

Baby, I'm a man, maybe I'm a lonely man who's in the middle of something
That he doesn't really understand
Baby, I'm a man and maybe you're the only woman who could ever help me
Baby, won't you help me to understand?
Ooh-ooh-ooh-ooh-ooh-ooh-ooh-ooh-ah

Oh, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah

Baby, I'm a man, maybe I'm a lonely man who's in the middle of something
That he doesn't really understand

Baby, I'm a man
And maybe you're the only woman who could ever help me
Baby, won't you help me to understand?
Ooh-ooh-ooh-ooh-ooh-ooh-ooh-ooh-ah

Maybe I'm amazed at the way you're with me all the time
Maybe I'm afraid of the way I leave you
Maybe I'm amazed at the way you help me sing my song
Right me when I'm wrong
Maybe I'm amazed at the way I really need you
