Even though Jimmy Buffett passed away just a week ago, the launch schedule for a planned project has not been affected. On Friday, September 8, the singer-songwriter's estate released three brand-new tracks, one of which includes a well-known buddy.

Buffett released three songs within days of his passing: "Like My Dog," "My Gummie Just Kicked In," and "Bubbles Up." The songs will appear on the mellow rocker's upcoming album Equal Strain on all Parts, which is expected to be released in the first week of November.

It's unclear whether these cuts were always scheduled to be released on September 8 or whether they were moved earlier as a sort of present to fans who were in grief because it doesn't seem like they were disclosed beforehand.

Due to the involvement of another well-liked performer, "My Gummie Just Kicked In" stands out among the group as the one that appears to be garnering the most attention online. The song's music video saw Buffett working in the studio with a number of other musicians to create the song. Paul McCartney, who initially seems to be dancing alongside Buffett and his buddies, is one of those people. Later in the image, McCartney can be seen playing what appears to be a bass.

After Buffett passed away on September 1, McCartney posted a message on Twitter to express his condolences. "It seems that so many wonderful people are leaving this world, and now Jimmy Buffett is one of them," the former Beatle begins the lengthy letter. "I've known Jimmy for a while and found him to be one of the kindest and most generous people," he continues in his tribute.

In addition, McCartney added, "Right up until the very end, his eyes still twinkled with a humour that screamed, 'I love this planet and I'm going to enjoy every minute of it. We will all miss Jimmy and his wonderful personality dearly. His love for each of us and for all of humanity.

McCartney's tweet contained information regarding "My Gummie Just Kicked In." The world-famous performer expressed his happiness at having "played on one of his latest songs." Then, he discussed "Bubbles Up," another of the brand-new songs, with Buffett. According to McCartney, "not only was the song great, but the vocal was probably the best I've ever heard him sing."

Even though McCartney is one of the most well-known musicians in the world and is undoubtedly Buffett's buddy, he isn't given official credit on "My Gummie Just Kicked In." Although McCartney is prominently featured in the video and his name carries considerable weight, neither his name nor that of the song's lyricist are listed on Spotify. It appears that he participated in the song's recording purely for amusement and not for recognition.
