The sign was hung over two large screens during the Friday and Saturday night performances of McCartney at Allianz Stadium.
It said, 'We acknowledge the Traditional Custodians of the land on which we gather and perform today, the Gadigal of the Eora Nation and all family groups connected to this Country.
'We pay our respects to their Elders past and present and extend that respect to Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples here today.'
Concertgoer Kobie Thatcher shared her anger over the sign on X on Saturday evening, writing : 'You can't even go to a concert now without an 'acknowledgment of country.''
Her post was met with mixed opinions, with many calling her out for her 'racist' remark.
'Oh for gods sake, get over it, he also flew the pride flag, I guess your knickers are in a twist about that too!' one user commented.
Another said, "You and other racists could move to Texas, if that would be better for you."
