How did Liverpool become such a hub of musical activity in the mid-20th century? The Cunard Yanks. A lot of it had to do with the Cunard ships that would regularly dock from New York, bringing with them the latest records from the likes of Chuck Berry and Little Richard. These American artists would transform the lives of The Beatles and countless other Liverpudlians in their generation.
