In 1993 I came back into the Steve Miller Band after a 6 year hiatus and my first show was doing an unplugged set with Steve opening for Paul McCartney co-billing on an Earth Day Concert at The Hollywood Bowl. I was able to meet Paul in our greenroom before the show and Diane, having starred as Lucy in the Sky With Diamonds in the Robert Stigwood motion picture, Sgt. Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club Band, knew Paul already. We were just watching Paul's final encore at the end of his show from the stage right wing and Paul looks over at Diane and I and invites us by name to come out and help him sing Hey Jude! He also invited Steve Miller and Ringo to come out as well. It was otherworldly!

You can see Diane and I behind and above Ringo in the upper right of this frame. I am also featured in the short zoom of the Steve Miller Band mentioned in this clip.
