Junk was written by Paul McCartney while the Beatles were in India but it wasn't included on The White Album or Abbey Road even though it's such a beautiful, melodic acoustic tune. He chose to release it on the first solo McCartney album, one version with singing and another version "Singalong Junk", without. I really love Paul's guitar in this song, he shows how melodic you can be with a few simple chords, it's a masterclass in McCartney songwriting style and illustrates his knack for pulling a melody from great chord progressions.
