Many people can’t understand how to play piano if you don’t read music.
Understanding chords can be done on piano in much the same way guitarists learn chords without reading music.
The chords in key of C are C major, D minor, E minor, F major, G major, A minor and B diminished
Then you can work out simply sus2 sus4 and 7th chords
