I usually try to post concerts without any personal interaction in the video to appeal to everyone. This was a definite exception.
My girls (11&6) started showing an interest in the music of the Beatles about a year ago. They’ve streamed their music daily, from when they wake in the AM until they go to bed. Posters are on our walls, school lunches are prepared and placed in their Beatles lunchboxes. For my oldest, it’s not “what are you wearing today” but rather “which Beatles shirt are you going to wear today?!?”
When the Got Back Tour was announced, there was nothing that could keep me from buying tickets to take my girls to see this living legend. Paul is probably the favorite Beatle in our home, and the chance to see him sing the soundtrack to our home was a must.
I knew from the beginning that I wanted to document this concert for them. This would be their first major concert, and being that of such an icon, I knew it would be a memory they would probably reference for the rest of their lives. (Imagine these small girls in 60 years telling their grandchildren they were alive to see a Beatle perform)
With all that being said, this video is for my daughters. The video starts with their call on the Fab Forum Beatles Channel program last week. The photos and extras are there for them. The video often turns to them to get their reactions or catch them singing along with Paul. There's often a male near my phone mic singing loud and often off key--- Ignore him!
If you’d like to fast forward past the pre show moments, Paul enters the stage at the 6:18 mark.
