"Blackbird" & "Here Today"-Paul McCartney-Live at Camping World Stadium-Orlando, Fla. May 28, 2022 (Audio with Photos only) The song “Blackbird” appeared on The Beatles double White Album released in 1968. “Here Today” is a sentimental song Paul wrote in tribute and memory of fellow Beatles’ band member, songwriter and long-time friend John Lennon (1940-1980). The song appeared on Paul’s Tug of War LP released in 1982. Note: In recent years, Paul has attributed writing "Blackbird" as a result of his observation of the mistreatment of, and racism towards Blacks in America. There are conflicting views that say that was not his inspirational motive at the time in 1968. On "Here Today", Paul has sung this song in an emotional and melancholy voice in recent years, indicating a deeper, personal loss of John-unlike what the original version sounds like on the 1982 Tug of War LP.
