Billy Joel ビリージョエル Los Angeles (Piano Demo, early ‘I’ve Loved These Days’/’New York State of Mind’)

In 1976, on his way back from L.A. to N.Y. Billy Joel began writing a song with the working title of ’Los Angeles’, about his life on the West coast. Some musical ideas played on this unreleased demo tape would eventually come in handy for Joel in the writing process of two ballads released on his following album Turnstiles (Columbia, 1976): ‘I’ve Loved These Days’ and, mostly, the bridge of ‘New York State of Mind’.
