An excessively deep dive into Rubber Soul | The Beatles

Rubber Soul is an album that is honestly kind of slippery. It defied normal terms, it caused the industry to come up with new words and create new spaces. This was NOT what most people were expecting from the Beatles. Coming out with a folk-based album in late 1965 was a huge risk. And from my research, I don’t think they even remotely cared.

They were right.


3-7 Second Rule:
Using more than 3-7 seconds of The Beatles’ music straight will lead to a copyright claim by Apple, which impacts monetization but does not jeopardize the channel. However, regularly going beyond 7-10 seconds of music can result in a copyright strike. Three strikes, whether valid or not, result in a channel being removed. If you’re unfamiliar with the album in question, the reactions may not make sense. This is incredibly frustrating for my subscribers and I would change it immediately if I could. Thanks for sticking around in spite of this stupid rule.



So no one asked me to do this but I worked on this video for nearly 24 hours straight and I definitely won’t be turning the videos around like this again but I’m hoping this is a bridge into the content I can be bringing out going forward: more long stuff, with a little short stuff.
