Back in 2009 I made a series of five videos where I played long medleys of songs using as many rhythms and presets on the organs I played as possible. Since I have gained more organs since I made these videos I have decided to make five more medleys and on the first one I play my Technics SM-AC80. This is a MIDI version of SX-C800 which again is a portable version of SX-GX7. So even though SM-AC80 doesn't look like an organ it shares its internals with the two "real" organs.
The melodies I play in this video are:
Say say say (Paul McCartney / Michael Jackson)
Don't throw your love away (Billy Jackson / Jimmy Wisner)
C'est bon pour le moral (Daniel Vangarde / Jean Kluger)
Musens sang (Kai Normann Andersen)
The Støvle Dance (De Nattergale)
Du gav bara löften (Eivor Fred / Rune Wallebom)
Calling all boys (Bobby Orlando)
Can't stop me going to the disco (Torben Lendager)
I have not used multitrack on this recording - everything is recorded as a single stereo track directly from the instrument. I did, however, make some edits as I am not capable of playing 11½ minutes straight without a single mistake. So the final file is pieced together from several takes. I also have to mention that I screwed up the video footage quite badly on this video but only realised it a couple of minutes before uploading so I decided to keep it as it is. I suppose everybody can see the giant blunder so I am not going to say what it is!
